RECIPE OF CHINESE STYLE BAKED BUNS (SIEW BAO) WITH BBQ SWEET PORK (CHAR SIEW) 烧包

The best part about homemade is we can place any ingredients we like. Ingredients: Outer Dough 100gram flour 1 tbsp sugar 30 gram butter 50 ml water Oil Dough 80 gram flour 50 gram shortening Fillings 2 Gloves of Garlic 1 Sharlot Some Mince meat (Didn't measure, RM 2.50 worth of mince meat) 2 tablespoon of Corn (As we don't take green pea) 1 tbsp of Char Siew Sauce 1 tbsp of Dark Soy Sauce Egg wash 1 egg + pinch of salt Method: How to cook filling: Heat up wok, add 1 tablespoon of oil, fry garlic, and shallot until fragrance. Add mincemeat and corn, fry until mincemeat is cooked. Add Char Siew Sauce and Dark Soy sauce. Fry for another 1 minutes. The Outer Crust: Add flour, butter, sugar, water in a big mixing bowl and form a dough ( outer dough ) Add flour, shortening to form a dough. ( Oil dough ) Now we are having 2 doughs. It has become a trend for everyone nowadays that we want to have a healthy lifestyle by eating clean. And so, I have chosen fresh milk for my kaya instead of Santan (Coconut Milk). Is definitely a healthier choice. And you will not regret after you have tried it. You can also spread this kaya on your toast for your breakfast! Ingredients: Pumpkin Puree 269 gram Few Pandan Leaves Fresh Milk 100 ml 50 gram of Gula Melaka. * Sweetness can adjust according to your preference. Method: Put in all the ingredients in your pressure cooker. Select bake mode and stir for about 10-13 minutes, if you think your pot is too hot, select warm button for a while, then select bake mode again continue to stir until your desired thickness. RECIPE OF EXPRESS VEGETARIAN SEAWEED FLOSS BUNS (Dinner Rolls) 快速紫菜丝面包

This is a very easy and short cut recipe for buns. I made it after I reached home yesterday, everything is done within 2 hours. Happy Baking. Ingredients: 260 gram of bread flour 10 gram of heavy cream 170 gram of water 15 gram of sugar 1/2 teaspoon of salt 1/2 teaspoon of yeast 15 gram of vegetable shortening Method: 1. Place all the ingredients in bread pan by following the below sequence Water +heavy cream Bread Flour Sugar Salt Yeast 2. Select Dough mode for 20 minutes. 3. After the above ingredients have become a dough, add vegetable shortening and select dough mode again for another 20 minutes. 4. Take out the dough, let it proof for 1 hour. 5. Divide dough into 8 buns (each of about 56 gram) and rest for 15 minutes. 6. Shape the dough and place the vegetarian seaweed floss 7. Baked @ 175 C preheated oven for 20 minutes. RECIPE OF ORANGE CHICKEN 橙汁鸡丁食谱

Ingredients: 1 chicken breast cut into cubes Batter for frying 1 egg white 1/2 cup all-purpose flour sifted 1/4 cup cornstarch 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1/3 cup water ice cold 1 tablespoon cooking oil Pinch of salt Orange Sauce: 1/4 cup orange juice 1/2 teaspoon orange zest 3 tablespoons of water 1 teaspoon of vegetarian mushroom powder 1 tablespoon soy sauce 2 tablespoons sugar 1 tablespoon of Vietnamese sour sauce 1 teaspoon corn starch Pinch of salt Method: Cut chicken breast into cubes. Mix the batter for frying, then dip the chicken cubes in the batter. Place in the airfryer @ 200 C for about 20 minutes or golden brown. Place 1 tablespoon of oil in your pan. Add garlic. Saute garlic until fragrant.  Add in orange sauce, then cook until it has caramelized (not too watery), then add the fried chicken cubes in. Stir until well combine. Sprinkle some sesame seeds. Dinner 13.4.2019 Ingredients: 1 avocado 1/2 small onion 2 cloves of garlic 5 cherry tomatoes 2 teaspoon of mint 5 gram of pepper 1 teaspoon of lemon juice 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt Method: Place all the above in your blender until smooth. RECIPE OF MOIST NO EGG CHOCOLATE CAKE 无蛋巧克力蛋糕食谱

Cake Pan - 7 1/2 Inch Ingredients: 195 gram of plain flour 200 gram of castor sugar 25 gram of cocoa powder 1 teaspoon of baking soda 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder 1/4 teaspoon of salt 75 gram of unsalted butter 240ml of water 1 tablespoon of lemon juice 1 teaspoon of vanilla paste Chocolate Ganache 170 semi-sweet chocolate chips 180ml heavy cream 13 gram of butter Method: 1. Mix all the dry ingredients and wet ingredients. 2. Then combine both and mix until well combined. 3. Baked @ 180 C preheated oven for 45 minutes. 4. As for Chocolate Ganache, boil heavy cream with butter until butter has fully melted, then pour into chocolate chips and stir until all the chocolate chips have fully melted. You can prepare one day in advance. And keep in room temperature, so that the Chocolate Ganache will firm up a bit, then you can spread on cake easily. Ingredients: Sponge dough 50 gram (Bread Flour 150 gram, Natural Yeast Starter 100gram, Water 45 gram, 1/4 teaspoon of Salt) Mix all the ingredients. Rest dough until it has double its size. Keep in the fridge. Else, can keep in the freezer. Use it when needed. Ingredients: Sponge Dough - 50 gram (I am using my 3 weeks old sponge dough, which i have kept in my freezer) Natural Yeast Starter 100 gram Bread flour 115 gram Whole Wheat Flour 10 gram Salt 1/2 teaspoon Olive Oil 10 gram Water 50 gram Method: 1. Place all the above ingredients according to your BM instruction. (Except oil) 2. Select dough mode for 15 minutes, add in oil for another 15 minutes. 3.Proof bread for 3 hours. After 1st proof, punch down the air. 4. Roll into ball shape. 5 .Then rest the dough for another 120 minutes.  6. Preheat oven @ 220 C and bake for 28 minutes. RECIPE OF KI KIA GU AKA CHINESE STEAMED GLUTINOUS CAKE ‎喜板‬食谱

I am sure many of you will buy this kuih when you passed by some Nyonya Kuihs stall. My kids love to eat this kuih. However, if you realize, Kuihs selling out there are rather oily and small (they will make it until very thin) and it cost RM 0.90 for one thin kuih. I will rather make by my own self, not only cost effective, but we can adjust the sweetness and oil as well.
